‘On The Strip’: Playa De Los Lances, Tarifa

Sometimes you just have to spend some time in a new place, chill out and just let it’s moods and character emerge. That’s just what I’ve been doing this month here on the ‘Strip’ at Playa de los Lances, Tarifa. During the winter months vans camping overnight are tolerated, however in the summer months no one is allowed to camp overnight here.

Here are a few ‘visitors’….

… and here are a few of its moods….

…. and here are a few of its details…

…. and finally ….

rescue-dog

… Janine.

There are some 136,000 dogs abandoned in Spain every year. The lucky ones are taken in by charitable refuges who treat and cares for the dogs and then re-home them. More than a few are adopted and given loving homes by vanners from all over Europe. This 18 month old dog was born in the local refuge but, unlike his siblings, no one wanted him just because he was a dark colour. He is now on his way to his new life in Germany with Janine.
